How a strong brand makes your company more lucrative

A strong brand makes three things happen: 

  1. People make an emotional connection to your company
  2. People will remember your name
  3. People will turn into not just clients or employees, but brand ambassadors

Take for example Apple, Facebook or Mercedes… These companies remind us of success, because they have invested an enormous amount of money into branding. It truly works!

Your company is more than a set of prices now, it’s a lifestyle. How can brands like Chanel or Supreme keep on charging exuberant prices? Easy! People don’t just want their products, they want what the company stands for.

If you keep your brand top of mind, people will return to you more easily, allowing you to cut the cost on advertising. This is a strategy that Apple has mastered.

Referrals are free, so the marketing cost per lead is zero! If you want people to talk about you, you have to give them a reason to.

Your brand has to tell a different and comprehensible story. Everything concerning optics (think photoshoots, logos, colors…) is of vital importance to share that story and has to be chosen with care and consideration. 

The other thing to remember, is to have a clear set of values you company stand for. In a world of competitors, why are you different? Why should people choose for your company? Why should they care about what you’re doing? 

If the answers to these questions come easily to you, then congratulations, you’re on the right path. If you’re not clear on what the answers are, figuring it out should be your number one priority. It’s not a simple task, but smart work in this area will be rewarded.

It’s not just about your logo or the colors you use. It’s about your story! People want to know where you come from and what your goals are. Share your story where you can and - important - make it a good one! A strong story proceeds a strong brand.
